The Last of Chile

Okay, at last, I’ve reached what I have decided will be the last post on my trip to Chile. Now, maybe I can post on some other things….if I post. Life is busy. That’s how it should be. If not, boredom would kill us. Actually maybe it is and we invent all kinds of activities to stay away from it and call it “busy”. But really and truly, life is busy and and won’t let up. For those of you who know the nature of my work, we’ve entered a stretch of constant visitors that won’t quit till the middle of December. Which in turn, means that much more running around. But I think I can find a measure of relief in my busyness. After all, I include my family in that list of visitors. So, bring it on!

Both of these pictures were taken at the Portillo ski resort located 2 hours north of Santiago. Hitting the slopes was one thing that we had wanted to do but it never materialized. Portillo closed the weekend before and we got here on a Monday. So close………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….and yet so far.

That’s it for now. If someone has a case of the winter blues, I’m here to deepen them. The weather is just amazing right now. Blue skies, warm sun and cold tea in the shade. There’s work to go around so you won’t be bored if you come. Viva Paraguay!
